This an interesting piece. It's simple, straight forward yet very powerful & striking within that simplicity. Elements of film noir and 1950s sci-fi blend in an intriguing manner, mixing equal parts Sam Raimi's Darkman, itself inspired by THE SHADOW with a little old west six shooting gun slinging thrown in for good measure, with any given number of endearingly low budget Us Vs. Them movies made since general audiences discovered science fiction. There's also a certain old fashioned hands on painterly feel to it like you might have seen on old science fiction novels, colliding with some amusingly trippy imagery to boot.
